VISIT TO AN OLDAGE HOME & ORPHANAGES

Fourth day of the NSS special camp included visit to an old age home and two orphanages. The first visit was to the old age home called Asha Bhawan located in Carmelaram where the students had a heartfelt conversation with The inmates bringing a smile on their face. The studentsthen conducted an entertainment session which included singing and dancing. Contributions of necessary items like medicines, food items were made on behalf of the NSS unit.
Next was a visit to an orphanage, Snehadaan and items that are required were contributed. Later that day we also visited Thayi Mane [orphanage] where the volunteers explained the children on the course of pharmacy as they were keen on knowing about it. The students then played and sang rhymes along with the smaller kids and also helped in serving food to them. Required contributions were also made. The day was on the whole a fun and enjoyable experience.
